Krista Wroten of Proto on violin, and vocals, Jack Kirton of Proto on guitar , mandolin & steel guitar, Dennis Hubbard and Joey Berkley from All things Green on bass & percussion. Real fresh pretty stuff backed by well seasoned local musicians. Their excellent new EP will available at the show.
Mermaid Police is a solo electronic & guitar multi-instrumental performance by Jason Dooley, formally one of the creative sparks behind Ballroom Dancing. His new 10 song CD is sure to be one of the most talked about local releases of the season. I've listened to it probably 5 times straight through since I got my copy yesterday afternoon. Every song on it is great melodic pop /rock and radio friendly to boot. Analog & Moog synth tricks abound. Be sure to get a copy of this CD at the show. Live, Mermaid Police can make You think you're watching a full orchestra.

Lamb Handler with Mr. Quik and The Gunslinger
www.myspace.com/lambhandler
Lamb Handler, impressive guitar rockers from Charlotte, NC. to open up their show date. This is the first visit to Chattanooga for Lamb Handler. I have been listening to their Q.O.T.S.A. tinged songs on Myspace for several months now and I'm very excited to get to see them perform live & up close. They will have their newly released CD "Shepherds of Rock" available at the show.
The brand new Lamb Handler CD "Shepherds of Rock." 14 tracks of some seriously great 4 piece high energy guitar oriented Rock n roll with wonderful melodic vocals. Anybody who' wishing they could find something new to revitalize their rock n roll affections should definitely get ahold of a copy of this disk At their upcoming show in Chattanooga.
Mr. Quik and the Gunslinger, is a new Chattanooga band who apparently have a bit of a following. Their first show drew quite a crowd for the intimate little Black Sheep Pub. Mr. Quik is so new on the "scene" I haven't even heard them yet so this will be a good opportunity to hear two new bands and chjeck out the newest addition to the Chattanooga Venue scene.

The Charms with Death Valley Driver & Bialetti
Friday March 30th @ Uncanny Evolution Gallery @ Warehouse Row, 9pm $6
1110 Market St. (423) 648-5509 Chattanooga, TN
Last year a high energy Boston rock band called The Charms picked up a gig in Chattanooga opening for The Orange Julians and they totally proved themselves with some of the most guitar scorching, Farfisa organ fueled, rowdy female vocal punk/pop I've heard in this town. That show inspired me to invite them back when I noticed an opening the night after their gig in Atlanta at Smiths Olde Bar. When I contacted the band their management said they were jumping at the chance to come back to Chattanooga.
Highly anticipated fun times notwithstanding, this band has been making great strides since they last visited. As I type this on Thursday, March 15 The Charms are getting ready to play at San Francisco' s Famed Fillmore West with Ian Hunter & The Zombies. They recently opened up 24 shows for the New York Dolls reunion tour and they have recorded another full length CD "Strange Magic."

"Death Valley Driver
are the quintessential Chattanooga rowdy drunk-and-fun rock band to go see. Hailing from Lafayette, Georgia, band members Vic Burgess, formally of The Orange Julians (lead vocals/guitar.) Matt O'Bryant (lead guitar), Anthony Hixon (bass), and Casey Magnusson (drums) have an undeniable Southern good-naturedness that truly shines through in their music and performance. These guys have been around for awhile and bring intricate and developed yet well-blended musical styling to the table." ~ Jessica Wallin, Enigma Magazine
Death Vallley Driver tunes are posted at www.myspace.com/vicburgessrocks
Bialetti
These up and coming Chattanooga indie pop/rockers open up the show. These guys have gotten airplay on 91.5 WAWL and performed around the region with illustrious local bands such as "Ballroom Dancing." Go listen to their tunes at www.myspace.com/bialetti
